Tour of Silchester Debrief

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to those who took part in the Tour of Silchester on Sunday.

Despite a damp start, it was great to kick-off this brand new event in dry conditions. A lot of work went into creating a new event and route, so it was great to hear the feedback that everyone enjoyed it. If you haven’t already, make sure you head over to our Facebook page for the event photos to see if you were snapped by our event photographers.

We would also love it if you would spare a few minutes to give us a quick review to help spread the word of our events.

Before we look ahead, we can’t do a thank you email without mentioning our fantastic volunteers and partners.

Volunteers: so many events like ours won’t exist without the support of volunteers giving up their time to help, the folks at Odiham Cycling Club again did a fantastic job at making sure Sunday could run as smoothly and as safely as possible. It’s always great to have volunteers from Naomi House & Jacksplace at our events too, to help out on the day and also raise awareness of the amazing work they do.

Handsling Bikes: it was great to have a local business on board to partner with at our events going forward, showcasing their stunning range of custom-painted bikes in the process. If you wanted to find out a little bit more about their bikes, you can head on over to their website here.

Simple Cakes: now a staple along our longer routes, their cakes and general rider support were a huge help for many. If you enjoyed their cakes and would like to find out what other delicious treats they can create for you, you can do so here.

Belle Aime Beauty: finally, it was great to have the expert knowledge of local sports injury therapists join us too, offering post-ride massages. And in even more exciting news, they’re able to offer all participants of Sunday’s event an exclusive discount code to receive £10 off your first treatment with them. Simply use HTS10 when making your booking here.

What’s next?
Our attention now turns to our main event of the year, the Tour of the Candovers on Sunday 3rd September in Odiham. As our flagship event of the year, we have more (and longer) route options available to riders, where all final proceeds will be donated to our charity partners Naomi House & Jacks Place.

Tour of the Candovers
Sunday 3rd September
Starting in Odiham, Hampshire

Online entries are open, so why not give yourself another event to look forward to this year.

Once again, thanks for joining us on Sunday and we hope to see you at the Tour of the Candovers.
