On the day:
The Tour of the Candovers is running under British Cycling’s current sportive guidelines. We must remind riders to respect each other space and circumstances, our venue will be outside to provide as much space possible for riders and volunteers. Hand sanitiser will be placed throughout the start arena.

When you arrive all riders will need to read the T&C’s and then sign in at the desk. We do ask to provide your mobile number if you haven’t already, in the event of any incidents. Please also sign back in after the ride. Please make sure you are on time for the start, we would like all riders away on time, so that there is a space between the rider groups.

All the routes are sign posted with the two longer routes being the same up to the first split at 17 miles it will then re join up later on the course and carry on together until the end. Maps will be available to view at the start venue and the routes can be downloaded on our website. There are two points of the 40 and 60 mile course where you are going back on yourself after rejoining further round the route please be aware that some arrows might be double sided. There will be 1 cake and water stops on the 40 route, and 2 on the 60 mile route.

The start times are:
60 miles 9.00 am
40 miles 9.30 am
20 miles 09.45 am

There will be a rider briefing before each start and we will be setting you off in groups to spread riders out.

At the start and finish area there will be tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake to buy, as well as extra tubes, tyres, gels and a few other bits and pieces you might need on the day.

Things you will need on the day are:
Tubes

and a HELMET no rider will be allowed out without a helmet this is for our insurance purposes.

At each water stop there will be a track pump and a few spare tubes which you can buy if you need extra. There will be motorbike marshals out on the course in case you have a problem, if you do have a problem please wait until the motor bike gets to you.

Pre entry is now closed but riders can still enter on the day if you know anyone who wants to come along, the cost of entry on the day is £20 for the 20 & 40 routes and £25 for the 60.

The weather is looking dry and dare we say warm, so its shaping up to be a great day raising valuable funds for Naomi House & Jacks Place.

So see you all there.
