We hope you are all safe and well.
As I am sure most of you are aware, British Cycling in recent weeks announced an extension to the ban on BC sanctioned events to June 30th. This unfortunately means that we will no longer be able to run our Tour of the Meons event on Sunday 14th June.
The safety of our riders & volunteers are the most important thing to us, and whilst we were hoping to go ahead with our June event, we fully respect the reasoning behind the ban extension.
A while ago we announced that following the cancellation of our first event (originally due for this weekend) that those who had already entered will be given the option to defer their entry to another of our 2020 events, otherwise all money collected so far will be donated to our charity partners Naomi House & Jacks Place.
Following the forced cancellation of The Tour of the Meons on June 14th, all entries from both the Meons and Worthys event will be given the option to defer entry to our final event this year, The Tour of the Candovers on 6th September. If however this would not be possible, then proceeds will be passed onto Naomi House & Jacks Place, as previously communicated.
We will be in contact with those who entered over the next few days to arrange a solution, so please bare with us.
In the mean time, we are very hopeful we will still be going ahead with the 2020 edition of the Tour of the Candovers, so we hope to see you fit and healthy on Sunday 6th September. We would also like to be able to host a second event later in 2020, so keep an eye out for more details in the coming months.
Thanks
